REVIMA is looking for its future: Machining Process Engineer – M/W

The Machining Process Engineer ensures :

  • Provide Technical support to all concerned departments (Operation, Customer Support, Sales, Supply Chain, etc.)
  • Provide work instructions and routings for the production, based on existing approved manuals or OEM data
  • Perform all engineering tasks which are required to introduce new capabilities (tools and equipment specification, development of work instructions, bills of materials, etc.
  • Work with the OEM to get repair concessions as required
  • Build Technical Data base in ERP system

Tasks:

  • Provide work instructions for the production, including relevant master data in IFS, solely based on existing approved data, for technical processes like plating, machining, painting, blasting.
  • Decode data from SOPM and create process instructions for Pre-plate Machining & Chrome Grinding and Shot peening.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of HVOF (High Velocity Oxy-Fuel) grinding processes.
  • Designed and implemented safety features to prevent grinding burns on basemetal surfaces
  • Lead training initiatives and promoted machining safety; actively contributed to the development of robust and reliable machining processes
  • Engineered efficient jigs and fixtures to optimize machining and grinding operations, resulting in reduced cycle times.
  • Conducted comprehensive studies to improve machining cycle time without compromising quality by adopting advanced tools and methods.
  • Establish a preventive maintenance program aligned with manufacturer recommendations to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to conduct annual machine accuracy verifications and manage critical spare parts inventory to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Maintain these work instructions to ensure they comply with the latest revision of approved data (especially OEM manuals) on a near time basis
  • Communicate with the engineering of the OEM in case of ambiguity or incorrect content of OEM manuals.
  • Maintain standard hours data per operation, and work on improving the instructions to increase the efficiency of the production
  • Together with the team members and the supervisor, work continuously on improving the performance both of the Engineering team and the production in regard to efficiency, turnaround time, quality, environmental, health and safety aspects
  • Develop repair processes and create work instructions for new repairs or product introduction
  • Provide technical assistance / clarification to Technicians in operational related issues
  • Work shift and overtime, also on weekends, as required
  • Perform investigations of warranty claims and Non-Conformances, together with the Technicians
  • Support sales, customer service and other organizations in regard to technical aspects
  • Take over project lead role for technical projects as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Profile required:

  • Very good knowledge of relevant CMM’s, SPM’s and other manuals
  • Very good knowledge on machining process.
  • Good understanding of and adherence to all relevant aviation regulations and internal quality rules
  • High proficiency in working with the IT systems, especially IFS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Major in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Material science Engineering or related
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience
  • Detailed knowledge of landing gear parts, the landing gear system, and overhaul processes
  • Ability to read, write and understand English (TOEIC 500)
  • Able to read, interpret and understand drawing, CMM Manuals and other relevant documents in English
  • Computer literacy (Office software, CAD/CAM, ERP)
  • Able to interpret Mechanical drawing and GD&T
  • Strong on problem solving, analytical skill, and service mind
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
